few days ago, we told you about the application of common Echarcon entering the town of Evry, leaving at the same time the community of communes of Val d'Essonne ( see article ). To go further in understanding the challenges of a village like that of Echarcon, Essonne News visited the town and met its mayor, Robert Coquidé. The opportunity to discuss the ins and outs of intercommunal, and understand the path of a typical village of Essonne.
It was a great sun, Tuesday, July 13. Appointment was set with Robert Coquidé Echarcon in town hall. Echarcon is a charming village located south of Smooth, with neighbors Villabé, Mennecy east, Green-le-Grand and the Little Green to the west. Overlooking the valley of the Essonne and its marshes, the town turns toward the major grain areas of the heart of the Essonne. At the entrance to the town hall, a sign announces a summer break in the supply of daily bread. Echarcon does indeed no local shops. It is therefore a Bakery Vert-le-Petit, who delivers here every morning to municipal employees, which transforms the mayor in bread. This is a summary of the situation somewhat Echarcon, as we book the Mayor. This is a dormitory town. Residents often work in Evry or in the vicinity, and the village does not really work. It is this activity which is vital to the finances of any municipality. Bring in business, which brings money to the host community, unfortunately, it can not be decreed. In recent years, the weight taken by the various intermunicipal well result often the question: how to make it attractive area to attract investors and create jobs? The simple solution is to combine expertise in this area several municipalities grouped under an EPCI ( see article).
From the valley of the Essonne Essonne Capital
Echarcon done so far part of the Community of Communes du Val d'Essonne (EAAC), she also assisted in the creation 2002. In 1989 several towns in the valley of the Essonne set up a first cooperation inter. "In 2002, Manuel Valls suggested that we enter with Evry in urban areas, but we were not recovered from trauma 1989 (note: the master plan). With EAAC, we do not find our account. (...) Here is a place we are sharing the expenses, not revenues. Echarcon For example, transferred its garbage at a cost that has risen from 50 000 to 65 000 euros in two years, today 72 000. (...) There was no one euro invested in the town, and we believe the calculation is 60 000 euros lost every year. "
Village Thus a better eye for the possibility of combining with Evry. Echarcon emits however claim to entering the caeca.
